The Information Services branch (ISB) at Brisbane City Council are seeking a Service Manager Service Reliability to drive delivery excellence across our strategic ICT portfolio.

Our Branch: Information Services branch (ISB) supports and enables nearly all of Council’s day-to-day activities and services through efficient, flexible, and innovative ICT solutions. We lead the ICT strategy that supports the business objectives of Council as a whole, as well as information management and ICT service delivery in Council.
This role: If you are looking for a challenge, then this could be the role for you! This role is critical to the success of ISB’s delivery of service reliability to maximise dependability of Council’s information and communications technology (ICT) systems. This includes problem, event and capacity management, asset and configuration management for enterprise ICT assets and license, subscription and maintenance management for enterprise applications and services.
Play a key part in strengthening our internal capability under the Corporate Services strategy. This is a unique opportunity to work within a large technology environment, support excellent customer service and achievement of consistent service level standards. You will work collaboratively with our service teams to help influence best outcomes. Work in partnership with vendors, projects and business partners to ensure delivery of service is met and aligned to business and corporate objects.
What will you be doing?
- Ensuring business processes developed are pragmatic, fit for purpose and customer focused
- managing the ICT service reliability workforce strategy and ensuring team skills meet levels of service
- driving continuous improvement
- trouble shooting, responding to issues and questions
- ensuring quality operational reporting
- collaborating with colleagues, vendors, and clients
- maintaining operational techniques and support to the organisation.
What will you need to bring to the role?
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- analytical ability with a passion for improvement
- proven organisational and financial management skills
- operational experience in supporting a diverse business with ICT issues and solutions
- knowledge of software asset management and ITIL Certification is highly regarded.
- desire to work in an ICT service reliability environment and provide support and look for improvement opportunities within a high performing team.
