Salary Range: Band 5, range $98,778 to $111,969, plus statutory superannuation (remuneration stated is for full time) and weekly pay cycle

Location: Hybrid, office location Green Square, Fortitude Valley 

Fostering a proactive, critical-thinking, and ownership-oriented culture, our Information Services branch are seeking a knowledgeable and accomplished Senior Functional Support Officer RIMS/CLD (Revenue Management Information System and Core Land Database) to provide professional support service to a varied and diverse range of internal customers.

Our Branch: Information Services supports and enables nearly all of Council’s day-to-day activities and services through efficient, flexible, and innovative ICT solutions. We lead the ICT strategy that supports the business objectives of Council as a whole, as well as information management and ICT service delivery in Council.

This role: In this senior position you will be at the heart of supporting Council’s key rating and land information systems, including RIMS, CLD, and Properties on the Web. You will keep our systems humming, empower users, troubleshoot issues, and help our business units deliver services that support the communities.

Play a key part in strengthening our internal capability under the Corporate Services strategy. This is a unique opportunity to work within a large technology environment, support excellent customer service and achievement of consistent service level standards. You will enjoy engagement with stakeholders at all levels, navigating organisational complexity and driving staff engagement, commitment, and clarity of systems.

In this role you will be:

  • Providing expert user support and troubleshooting for RIMS/CLD
  • managing user access, permissions, and system security
  • monitoring daily system operations and interfaces
  • developing SQL queries and reports to extract and analyse data
  • coordinating and conducting user acceptance testing for system enhancements
  • identifying improvement opportunities and supporting implementation
  • collaborating with business groups and stakeholders to resolve complex issues
  • analysing data trends and supporting continuous improvement
  • representing Information Services in corporate projects related to rating/land management systems.

 What you will bring:

  • confident communication, negotiation, and customer-focused service
  • experience working with relational databases and reporting tools
  • ability to juggle workloads and deliver outcomes
  • your collaborative mindset and a commitment to performance excellence.

Desirable:

  • Experience with RIMS, Core Land or Properties on the Web
  • ITIL certification
  • IT or business-related tertiary qualifications.
