The Compliance and Regulatory Services (CARS) branch plays a critical role in helping make Brisbane a safer, fairer and more liveable city. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, CARS delivers services that support compliance, resolve issues and provide practical solutions for residents, businesses and visitors across Brisbane. CARS is made up of four dynamic work areas working together to deliver community value through responsive, customer focused service. Customer Services provides services and facilities to help foster communities which are safe, healthy, active, vibrant and inclusive. 

Our Branch  

The Compliance and Regulatory Services (CARS) brings together several specialist teams that work collaboratively to deliver effective regulatory services across the city. Staff manage complex customer enquiries, provide technical advice, support regulatory decision-making and contribute to initiatives that improve service delivery and community outcomes. 

The Role  

As a Regulatory Outcomes Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of operational priorities across the Parking Compliance Team. Working under the guidance of operational supervisors and taking direction from the broader senior leadership team, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of the work area to anticipate business needs, coordinate competing priorities and provide timely, solutions-focused support that enables effective operational outcomes.

You will undertake accurate data entry, maintain evidence and investigation records, prepare high-quality briefings, correspondence and reports, analyse operational data and provide insights to support informed regulatory decision-making. As a key resource within the branch, you will develop and maintain knowledge of emerging technologies, systems and business processes, providing guidance, coaching and support to leaders and operational team members to promote effective adoption and consistent practices. You will also identify opportunities to improve administrative processes, enhance service delivery and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the work area.

This role requires sound judgement, critical thinking and strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a dynamic operational environment. Success in this role requires initiative, adaptability, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships while exercising the utmost discretion in managing sensitive and confidential information. 

Additionally, you will : 

  • contribute to the delivery of regulatory services that support the safety, amenity and wellbeing of Brisbane's residents, businesses and visitors
  • play a key role in supporting a branch that delivers essential community services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • work closely with operational supervisors and senior leaders in a collaborative and outcome-focused environment
  • contribute to business improvement initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness, service delivery and community outcomes
  • support evidence-based decision-making through accurate data analysis, reporting and performance monitoring.

To be successful you will have: 

  • strong customer service and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters professionally and with discretion
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional correspondence, submissions, reports and recommendations
  • demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching and providing guidance to staff within a multi-skilled operational environment
  • highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, prioritise and manage competing workloads to meet deadlines
  • sound research, analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify trends and prepare accurate reports
  • demonstrated knowledge of legislation, policies and procedures relevant to regulatory or compliance functions
  • the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation
  • a commitment to continuous improvement, with experience identifying, reviewing and implementing business process improvements in a changing environment.
