The Role

Are you passionate about optimising asset performance and delivering data-driven service outcomes? We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Senior Asset Information Officer to support the management of physical assets across their lifecycle. This pivotal role combines business analysis, data management, and spatial intelligence to ensure asset information is accurate, actionable, and aligned with strategic objectives.

You will lead initiatives to improve data integrity, design asset data structures, and implement quality assurance strategies. Directly contributing to smarter decision-making and better community outcomes.

You will work closely with stakeholders to define information needs, develop analytical solutions, and maintain advanced reporting frameworks that enhance enterprise asset planning. The role requires expert knowledge of spatial and enterprise systems, including GIS, SAP Plant Maintenance, and Linear Road Asset Management systems. Your ability to integrate spatial data with asset information will streamline workflows and support location-based insights. If you bring strong technical skills, experience in asset data management, and a background in local government or infrastructure, we’d love to hear from you.

To be successful you will have:

  • strong understanding of enterprise asset management principles, particularly within a local government or infrastructure context, across the full asset lifecycle
  • demonstrated experience in asset data management, including data structure design, quality auditing, data cleansing, and information governance
  • advanced analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to extract actionable insights from complex datasets to support asset planning and performance management
  • high proficiency in spatial tools and GIS platforms, with the ability to integrate location-based data into enterprise asset systems and reporting processes
  • experience with enterprise systems, particularly SAP Plant Maintenance and linear Road Asset Management systems, to support efficient asset operations
  • strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across technical teams, field staff, and management to define and deliver information needs
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously, demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and a commitment to high service standards.
