The Role

In this role you will provide advice and direction in the area of risk management across Finance Operations (FO) to enable the effective delivery of business outcomes. This involves assessing and managing business and compliance risks by developing, implementing and improving risk management and quality frameworks, strategies, principles and practices to ensure business operations comply with all applicable standards and legislation. 

To be successful you will have:

  • relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related discipline
  • proven ability to effectively develop, coordinate and advise on strategic planning processes for a large organisation
  • proven ability and knowledge in all aspects of risk and environment management, including undertaking risk assessments, strategy development, risk profiles and risk management practices to reduce social, economic and environmental risks
  • highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with people at all levels of the organisation including experience in maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive issues
  • demonstrated ability to analyse and evaluate complex strategic issues, problems and policies and to develop a range of practical strategies and options for resolution
  • demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, monitor and establish priorities to achieve outcomes within specific deadlines, and manage projects to successful outcomes both independently and as part of a team
  • high level analytical, research and problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesise and summarise complex issues and develop potential recommendations and options for their resolution
