Our Branch
Information Services branch (ISB) delivers digital and information technologies to maintain and enhance Council’s information, processes and systems, and enable data driven insights to improve decision-making and customer experience.
The Role
We are seeking a Senior Spatial Information Specialist to provide expert advice and technical support for our Spatial ETL Platform.
In this role, you will work with a range of stakeholders to deliver high-quality spatial information services that support informed decision-making and operational outcomes. Using your expertise with automating data workflows, you will help develop practical solutions, improve business processes, and maximise the value of spatial information across the organisation.
As a senior member of the team, you will provide technical leadership, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to the delivery of innovative spatial solutions that support Council's operations and the community.
You will need to bring specific skills and experience including but not limited to:
- a working knowledge of all facets of GIS disciplines
- strong skills and knowledge of Spatial Information Management principles and practices
- proven working knowledge of the ESRI Enterprise Suite of products and the use of Relational Database Systems for the storage and management of spatial information
- demonstrated excellent customer focused behaviour when delivering services with a proven ability to liaise with customers and staff at all levels
The ideal candidate will have:
- experience in the administration and management of ArcSDE geodatabases
- proven ability to automate workflows using FME products
- development experience with Python and ArcGIS API for Python
- a working knowledge of server technologies including AGOL and ArcGIS Enterprise
