Salary Range: Band 4 AUD $89,207 to $95,764 + superannuation. (Remuneration stated is for a full-time position)

Work type: Temporary full-time, until Feb 2028

About us

The Commercial and Contract Management Branch provide contract, business and commercial management for Public Transport Servies. This includes management of the Group budget and finances, management and delivery of long term, strategic public transport and contracts such as the bus contract and Metro with the Queensland government, delivery of ferry services, ferry fleet asset management, significant advertising contracts, e-mobility and Personalised Public Transport (PPT). In addition, the team also manages and maintains relationships with key stakeholders including Translink.

 About the role

As a Program Support Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting the Executive General Manager Commercial and Contract Management and the broader branch within Public Transport Services. Acting as a trusted point of coordination, you'll provide a combination of executive support, business administration and program support services that enable the branch to operate effectively and achieve strategic objectives.

This is a diverse and fast-paced role where you'll manage competing priorities, coordinate business activities, prepare high-quality documentation, support financial and reporting processes, and liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You'll also contribute to key projects and initiatives, including supporting Brisbane's growing e-mobility program and other branch priorities.

Some of your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Providing administrative support to the Executive General Manager Commercial and Contract Management
  • Coordinating calendars, meetings, correspondence and business priorities
  • Preparing reports, presentations, briefing materials and other business documentation
  • Managing customer enquiries, records and branch administration activities.
  • Supporting financial processes, including purchasing, invoice processing and reporting
  • Assisting with the delivery of projects and initiatives across the branch
  • Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

To be successful, you will have: 

  • Experience providing executive, personal assistant, administration or business support in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive approach, sound judgement and the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and business systems to support effective operations
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and business outcomes.
