 The Role

ISB is currently seeking a permanent full-time ICT Environments Analyst to assist with ensuring Council’s ICT environments are operating in a cost effective and efficient manner.

This role would see you analysing data to identify cost savings opportunities and facilitating the implementation of cost savings initiatives to maximise the value of ICT in Council.

Strong relationship building skills are key as the role will work with service and technical managers in both Council-managed and outsourced environments to deliver the desired outcomes that meet the goals and needs of Council.

Day-to-day you will also contribute to the administration of cloud tooling including automation, orchestration, code repository, code security analysis products and services.

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • ability to identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills including the ability communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • ability to influence information technology and business decisions
  • outstanding customer service and relationship building skills
  • strong organisation and time management with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • experience in cost optimisation of ICT environments
  • experience administering tools such as GitHub, Terraform and Veracode
  • experience working successfully as part of a wider team.

Please note if you do not possess all these expertise but are a hard-working team player with excellent relationship management skills who holds a background in analytics and general IT, then we would still love to hear from you!

Additionally, possession of a FinOps certification would be highly desirable but is not mandatory.
