The Business
Corporate Services support, equip and help guide Council to deliver the Brisbane Vision through centralised corporate services and a customer-focused approach.
Information Services branch (ISB) delivers digital and information technologies to maintain and enhance Council’s information, processes and systems, and enable data driven insights to improve decision-making and customer experience.
The Role
The Service Manager, Digital Connectivity is responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of digital connectivity services at Council. This role will manage services including corporate/mobile telephony & network carriage, mobile devices, unified communications and digital radio.
In this role you will ensure the delivery of a seamless and efficient communication experience for employees; drive continuous improvement in service quality, reliability, and user experience; and help define and execute device and service roadmaps.
You will work closely with various internal stakeholders across Council and establish good working relationships with various external vendors.
You will use your knowledge and experience in digital services to guide and optimise performance, cost-effectiveness, and future-readiness of Council’s communication infrastructure.
In this role you will:
- lead a local team and provide end-to-end management of Council’s digital connectivity services
- drive continuous improvement in service quality, reliability and customer experience
- shape and deliver technology roadmaps for digital connectivity services
- build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers
- manage supplier performance, contracts and commercial outcomes to ensure value and continuity
- monitor service performance, resolve issues and implement preventative actions to improve.
To be successful you will have:
- demonstrated evidence leading performance excellence and a values-based culture
- experience negotiating contracts, managing suppliers and service performance
- demonstrated experience in managing digital connectivity services, mobile device fleets, and unified communications
- ability to develop and execute technology roadmaps
- strong ability to assess, identify and deliver innovative delivery solutions
- experience in financial planning, budget management, and cost optimisation
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
