The People and Culture Branch play a vital role in supporting Brisbane City Council’s people, leaders and organisational success by delivering contemporary people solutions across talent acquisition, careers and development, learning and development, performance leadership, employee wellbeing, remuneration and employee services.

The Role

As the Business Process Improvement Lead, you will drive improvement and transformation initiatives across the Provide People Services value stream, helping to deliver efficient, effective and customer-focused services for Council employees. Partnering with the Business Process Manager, process owners, and stakeholders, you will drive a pipeline of improvement opportunities, redesign end-to-end processes and implement practical solutions that enhance service delivery and organisational performance. You will also provide expert business process leadership, and support process governance and health monitoring. You will drive sustainable change within people processes aligning process and technology solutions to realise Council’s strategic objectives.

To be successful you will have:

  • experience delivering business process improvement outcomes
  • strong business process analysis, BPMN, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • experience driving continuous improvement and supporting process governance
  • experience delivering technology-enabled process improvements, with SAP, SuccessFactors and AI/automation highly valued
  • strong communication, workshop facilitation and project leadership skills
  • a customer-focused mindset and passion for continuous improvement.
