Our Branch
Commercial Services & Business Improvement (CSBI) Branch drives improvement, agility, and resilience, through support to City Standards (CS) to ensure services to the community are delivered safely, effectively and efficiently.
The Role
The Business Manager and Strategic Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and integrating strategic and business improvement initiatives.
This role focuses on ensuring alignment between initiatives, projects, strategies, policies and plans across the business and provides advice on the coordination of resources to support Council’s strategic directions.
You
You will have considerable knowledge and experience in strategic business management with exceptional interpersonal skills to build trust, engage with, and influence your customers, stakeholders and management.
You will identify, plan, and address contentious and emergent issues and have an analytical approach to provide well informed advice that makes an impact in the effective delivery of programs of work and services.
We are looking for an experienced strategic leader who can contribute to the overall management, operation and strategic direction of City Standards.
To be successful you will have:
- demonstrated evidence of capabilities in Council’s Leadership Blueprint
- proven success in providing high quality professional advice, interpretation and information
- high level analytical, research and problem-solving skills
- proven experience in change management within a large organisation
- proven success in developing and maintaining relationships, influencing and motivating
- high level negotiation, consultation and interpersonal skills.
