Public Space Operations is a service delivery, customer‑focused and commercially driven business that prides itself on keeping Brisbane’s streets and public spaces clean, green and safe for the enjoyment of residents and visitors alike. Within this branch, the Urban Amenities team delivers essential on‑ground services that maintain the presentation and usability of public spaces across the city. You’ll be joining a practical, supportive and safety‑focused team who take real pride in the visible impact they make every day.
The Role
As a Graffiti Reduction Senior Team Member, you will deliver graffiti removal and reduction services across Brisbane’s public spaces, using a range of machinery, tools, chemicals and coatings to clean and protect Council assets. You will work to a scheduled list of sites, completing tasks efficiently and to branch standards while maintaining equipment, vehicles and materials to required guidelines.
You will prepare accurate field reports and documentation to support operational planning and contribute to a safe and high‑performing team environment by following WHS procedures and providing feedback that supports continuous improvement. While much of the work is autonomous, you will collaborate with your Team Leader and colleagues to deliver a consistent, high‑quality service that keeps Brisbane’s public areas clean, safe and welcoming.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical outdoor work, problem-solving onsite, and making visible improvements to the city each day.
To be successful you will have:
- experience using a range of machinery, tools and equipment
- knowledge of preparing and applying chemicals and coating systems
- ability to complete accurate field reports and work documentation
- confidence working independently to a scheduled work plan
- ability to contribute to team goals through communication and feedback
- sound written and verbal communication skills
- ability to safely tow and reverse a box trailer.
- experience in graffiti reduction and coating systems and a current First Aid Certificate is desirable but not required.
