Information Services branch (ISB) supports and enables nearly all of Council’s day-to-day activities and services through efficient, flexible, and innovative ICT solutions. We lead the ICT strategy that supports the business objectives of Council as a whole, as well as information management and ICT service delivery in Council.
This role is critical to the success of ISB’s Operations and Projects and plays a key part in strengthening our internal capability under Corporate Services. This is a unique opportunity to work within a large technology environment and support Council’s Identity Management system. You will work collaboratively on projects and with our service operation teams to help influence best outcomes. In this role you will progress in identity and access management in our large complex organisation. If you are looking for a challenge, then this could be the role for you! Any exposure to Cloud based integrations will be highly valued. This role suits career progression from a technical support or engineering position.
What will you be doing:
- supporting the Identity and Access Management System within operations and projects.
- providing advice into technical services and solutions
- trouble shooting and responding to identity issues and questions
- ensuring security standards are followed
- collaborating with colleagues, vendors, and clients
- maintaining operational techniques and support to the organisation
- contribute to the evolution of the identity operating model.
To be considered, you will have:
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to translate business Identity requirements into technical concepts
- analytical ability with a passion for improvement
- elevated level of organisational skills
- operational experience in supporting a diverse business with ICT issues and solutions, and
- knowledge of enterprise level identity management and security platforms, user provisioning through to Identity integration, Identity patterns (Microsoft Identity Management, Entra ID, Active Directory highly regarded)
