Our Business
Infrastructure Services (ISG) is arguably Council’s largest division covering asset management, infrastructure planning, design, project management, construction, services, maintenance, and transport operations activities.
Our Branch
Asset Management branch has oversight for the strategic asset management of all of Council’s built and natural assets including roads, stormwater, waterways, buildings, property, duct and fibre, parks, and community assets.
The Role
In this role you will be responsible for facilitating and integrating strategic and business improvement initiatives within the Asset Management branch, ensuring alignment between projects, strategies, policies, and plans to support the branch's strategic direction and overall management.
You will work directly with the General Manager, key stakeholders, executives and managers across the division including external parties and interest groups to promote collaboration and progress Asset Management’s program of work to achieve branch and organisational objectives.
The position will suit a highly organised and experienced coordinator with an agile leadership approach; someone who can develop and maintain collaborative working relationships in an environment focused on positive change.
To be successful you will have:
- demonstrated proficiency in leading and motivating a team effectively, in accordance with the Council’s Leadership Blueprint principles while promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
- Experience in providing high quality advice to senior management across strategy, policy and operational issues.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills including the ability to identify and manage complex emerging issues
- highly developed stakeholder relationship skills
- highly developed communication, consultation, negotiation and influencing skills
- highly-developed written, presentation and reporting skills.
