Our Business
Infrastructure Services brings together Council's asset management, infrastructure planning, design, project management, construction, services, maintenance and transport operations activities.
Our Branch
The Commercial Services & Business Improvement (CSBI) Branch's purpose is to drive improvement, agility, and resilience, by providing support to City Standards (CS) and more broadly across Brisbane Infrastructure (BI), making it easier and safer to deliver outcomes for the community.
The Role
In this fast-paced role, you will be able to hit the ground running to lead and support the coordination, delivery and continuous improvement of training and capability development initiatives across a large, diverse operational workforce.
You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of Vocational Education and Training (VET) tertiary qualifications for existing workers in City Standards enrolled Sector.
We seek someone skilled in creating inclusive, engaging learning experiences. You will coordinate enrolments, manage learning systems, support learners with individualised plans and adjustments, and collaborate to improve outcomes. Experience with Council job architecture, data analysis, training needs assessment, reporting, and facilitation is required.
To be successful you will demonstrate:
- experience in delivering and/or coordinating training programs
- strong knowledge of government subsidies and incentives, apprenticeship programs, RTO partnerships and RPL processes
- experience in capability and qualification management
- knowledge in role mapping, aligning qualifications to job tasks and industry standards
- ability to evaluate training effectiveness and assessing workforce competency
- effective coordination of systems, processes, and reporting to support consistent and efficient training delivery.
