The Role
Lead and supervise a field-based Pipe Survey team completing programmed and reactive stormwater drainage condition surveys. Including operation of CCTV survey equipment (e.g. push cameras, crawler/tractor mounted cameras etc.) to inspect, record, and report on the condition of stormwater drainage infrastructure, ensuring compliance with Brisbane City Council and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- provide leadership and set performance expectations for the team
- ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety and Council policies
- operate CCTV and other inspection equipment to assess stormwater network conditions
- deliver exceptional customer service and liaise with clients as needed
- identify and document infrastructure defects using Wincan or similar software
- prepare detailed reports in line with the Asset Management Plan
- maintain safety in the work area and follow all relevant procedures
- interpret drainage plans and produce necessary sketches
- participate in risk management and adhere to internal WHS policies.
To be successful you will have:
- demonstrated evidence of capabilities in Council’s Leadership Blueprint to deliver performance excellence and a values-based culture
- demonstrated ability to lead performance by setting clear direction, providing support and feedback, and monitoring ongoing performance
- demonstrated experience in operating CCTV cameras, push cameras, and tilt cameras to assess stormwater drainage issues
- ability to produce detailed reports in line with Council’s stormwater drainage Asset Management Plan
- experience in identifying and interpreting stormwater infrastructure defects and issues during conduit inspections
- proficiency in corporate software applications, including WINCAN and MS Office.
- experience liaising with customers and solving on-site problems efficiently
- current confined space entry ticket (AS2865) with breathing apparatus
- hold a current WSAA accreditation or NWP331A – Perform conduit condition evaluation (not mandatory, but highly regarded)
