Salary Range: Band 5 range $98,778 - $111,969 plus statutory superannuation (Remuneration stated is for full time), weekly pay cycle 

Work type: Temporary full time, 12 months 

Location: Hybrid, office location Brisbane Square, 266 George Street, Brisbane  

Information Services branch at Council are seeking an enthusiastic Functional Support Officer (DART) to provide exemplary support service to customers using Local Government and Enterprise Business Planning systems.

Our Branch: Information Services supports and enables nearly all of Council’s day-to-day activities and services through efficient, flexible, and innovative ICT solutions. We lead the ICT strategy that supports the business objectives of Council as a whole, as well as information management and ICT service delivery in Council.

You will enjoy engagement with stakeholders at all levels, navigating organisational complexity and driving staff engagement, commitment, and clarity of systems. 

In this role you will: 

  • Be the go to for DART users - solving issues, guiding customers, keeping systems efficient  
  • monitor system performance and identifying opportunities for optimisation 
  • dive into data trends, uncover insights, and recommend improvements 
  • undertake user security and audits, ensuring safe and smooth access 
  • collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and deliver exceptional service 
  • action user acceptance testing for system updates and enhancements 
  • support strategic planning by preparing high value reports and analysis. 

What you will bring: 

  • Strong ICT support experience and the ability to assess how systems meet customer needs 
  • excellent communication skills - you will explain, consult, and negotiate with confidence 
  • sharp analytical thinking and the ability to spot trends in the data 
  • fantastic organisational skills with a knack for staying on top of competing priorities 
  • collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to team performance and improvement. 

Desirable: 

  • Experience with Local Government or enterprise planning systems. 
  • ITIL v3 certification. 
  • tertiary qualification in IT or a related field.
