Our Business

Support Services provides Council's key support services under a centralised model. Our efficient back-of-house support ensures more resources can be focused on Council’s front-line service delivery. Support Services provides an enormous range of support to all areas of Council.

Our Branch

Payment and Supply Services operationalise Council's supplier payments, hold and manage distribution for Council supplies and assets and support the organisation with purchasing materials and supplies. We work closely with the Strategic Procurement Office and align to the Provide Procurement Services (Source2Pay) Values Stream.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and customer-focused professional to be part of a specialised warehouse environment that keeps essential services moving across Brisbane.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Store Manager, oversees stock control, inventory accuracy and the management of materials within a warehouse that supports critical operational requirements. You will work closely with internal and external customers, ensuring materials are received, stored and distributed efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and service delivery.

This is a hands-on role that requires someone who is comfortable working in a warehouse environment, managing inventory, creating work orders, undertaking manual handling activities and contributing to day-to-day operational tasks. Experience using SAP and maintaining accurate inventory records will be highly regarded.

To be successful you will have:

  • experience in warehouse, stores or inventory management within a fast-paced operational environment
  • strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on stock accuracy and inventory control
  • well-developed customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • experience using SAP or similar inventory management systems, including raising work orders and maintaining records
  • willingness to undertake hands-on warehouse activities, including manual handling tasks, while contributing to a positive team environment.
