Warehouse Supervisor - Mt Isa, QLD

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We are searching for a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and support team leaders to ensure site goals are achieved.

In this role, you will oversee the warehouse activities within the distribution centre to ensure operational requirements are achieved. Leveraging your skills, you will be leading a team of Storepersons while ensuring minimal disruption to workflows within the warehouse. With safety at our core, you will champion this culture amongst your team while encouraging continuous improvement and team development.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity and will be based onsite at the Blackwoods Mount Isa located on Traders Way, Mount Isa City.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop your team of Storepersons across their shift to ensure tasks are completed
• Deploy resourcing accordingly to ensure daily/weekly/monthly targets are met
• Nurture a culture of safety within the team in line with WHS practices
• Support and manage the operational flow through the warehouse to minimise delays and impacts
• Support with recruitment activities for your team including onboarding and induction to site
• Have a mindset of continuous improvement to uplift efficiencies onsite

Skills required:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a warehouse environment
• 2 years’ experience in warehouse leadership
• A high regard for safety and safe work practices
• Stock control/inventory management experience
• Effective communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to delegate and lead in a fast-paced work environment
• A mindset of continuous improvement
