We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Sourcing Manager within our Category & Technical team. This role is pivotal in delivering the Blackwoods Supplier Optimisation Strategy nationally. The Sourcing Manager will collaborate and support the Category team to achieve excellence in supplier performance through enhanced commercial and service outcomes. The role will report to Chaitali Desai, Category Insights & Sourcing Manager.
About the role:
- Collaborate with Category teams to support delivery of respective category strategies and objectives
- Ensure consistent application of sourcing methodologies across all categories to deliver supplier optimisation strategies
- Hold suppliers accountable to operational performance
- Partner with Category Team to support the operational side of supplier relationships
- Establish a standardised business approach to managing operational and commercial performance of suppliers
- Manage supplier negotiation and management with regard to cost increases, trading terms including rebates
- Support the negotiation and creation of all commercial contracts with Blackwoods TTA suppliers, including review of commercial terms
About you:
- Previous experience within a Category, Sourcing or Commercial role preferable
- Ability to deliver strong long-term commercial outcomes
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience in working with multi-site teams
- Ability to build relationships and engage with stakeholders
- A mindset of continuous improvement
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity and can be based at any of the Blackwoods major sites or capital cities.
