YOUR OPPORTUNITY 

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Proposal Coordinator to join our national team. Our Bids & Tenders Team, as part of the wider Customer Solutions function, are a passionate and high-performing team, committed to driving innovation, growth, and sales across the business. 

This position exists to drive the success of customer bid submissions through expert project management, strategic coordination, and best-practice proposal development. The role will also facilitate workflows between internal teams, administrate assets vital to the teams effective functioning, and drive strategy and improvement across all team activity. 

With hybrid work flexibility, you have the option to be based in Carole Park QLD, Macquarie Park NSW, or Greystanes NSW. 

YOUR PROFILE

This role is part-writer, part-marketer, part-project manager, part-analyst, and part-strategist. You’ll work to build compelling business proposals, manage collaborative projects, contribute to team strategy, and manage enablement assets vital to the success of the wider business.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:  

  • Develop persuasive and robust tender responses, ensuring continuity of the Blackwoods’ language and brand identity
  • Demonstrate understanding of customers KPI, motivation for change, bid criteria and associated bid strategies to articulate the solution in a clear, concise and compelling response, supported by evidence
  • Manage cross-functional working groups, bid timelines, stakeholder contributions and quality expectations in document preparation and bid submission
  • Organise and facilitate meetings (often through teleconference) with all relevant stakeholders for each stage of the tender process
  • Analyse, interpret and develop compelling data visuals and insights using Blackwoods’ databases and customer basket data
  • Facilitate a highly collaborative project environment with other members of key cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to meet deadlines and maintain high quality outputs

We are interested in hearing from people who have:  

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience in proposal/grant 
  • Strong time management and ability to prioritise based off commerciality of opportunities 
  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders with a ‘Customer First’ mentality 
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Communications, Marketing, Commerce or Law/Other educational backgrounds and experiences will also be considered
  • Marketing/Design experience with proficiency in Adobe InDesign is highly desirable
