As a Junior Data Scientist supporting our Customer Experience Team, you will partner with leaders to uncover opportunities that support data-driven decision-making. As part of the Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE), you’ll guide stakeholders with insights to shape priorities and ensure smarter decision making across the business.
This is a great opportunity for an early career Data Scientist or Analytics professional looking to further develop their technical expertise while gaining exposure to operational stakeholders and solving real-world problems.
Some of the role responsibilities:
- Work closely with business leaders to understand challenges and translate them into analytical solutions
- Analyse large, complex datasets to identify trends, root causes, and actionable insights that directly influence business outcomes.
- Apply advanced statistical and machine-learning techniques to improve forecasting accuracy and resource allocation
- Build intuitive dashboards and visualisations through bespoke analysis to assist in efficient decision making
Some of the skills required:
- Tertiary qualification in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or another quantitative discipline or equivalent demonstratable work experience
- Experience with modelling languages such as python or R
- Experience in SQL for large-scale data extraction and transformation.
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Additionally, not essential but is desired
- Ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholder groups
- Power BI capability (DAX, Power Query, Power Pivot)
