The Opportunity
Blackwoods is seeking an experienced and commercially focused leader to manage and lead a group of trade store teams within a nominated region in WA.
This role is accountable for driving strong commercial performance while ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-led service delivery across all regional trade stores.
Location is flexible within the WA region for the right candidate, based on operational needs and business alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver exceptional customer experiences across all regional trade stores to drive retention and satisfaction.
- Build strong relationships with key regional customers, sales teams, and suppliers to support sustainable growth.
- Drive trade store sales growth through effective execution of marketing initiatives and in-store strategies.
- Maintain optimal stock profiles, pricing, merchandising standards, and supplier engagement.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on regional performance metrics including sales, DIFOT, NPS, and engagement.
- Manage operational costs, budgets, and inventory to maximise efficiency and return on capital.
- Identify and implement operational improvements to optimise workflows, space, and service delivery.
- Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with HSE policies and achievement of TRIFR targets.
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams aligned with company values and behaviours.
- Oversee performance management, induction, training, and compliance with employment legislation.
About You:
- 8–10 years’ experience in trade store or operational management roles.
- Proven people leadership and remote team management capability.
- Strong commercial acumen with budget and performance accountability.
- Customer-first mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Strategic yet hands-on approach to solving operational challenges.
- Results-driven leader who empowers teams through accountability.
