The Opportunity

To support our ongoing growth, BG&E Resources are seeking a highly skilled and well versed Lead Civil Engineer to join the Perth based team located in the CBD. Reporting into the Principal Civil Engineer your primary objective will be to lead the Civil Engineering team by ensuring the delivery works are achieved across a range of projects and to client standards, Australian Standards and regulations within prescribed budgets and timeframes.

The Ideal Candidate

Our Ideal candidate is an ambitious and technically minded, a degree qualified Civil Engineer with 10+ years’ experience in a similar level position. Extensive design experience in the Mining and Industrial sectors, specifically across Earthworks, Road and Drainage Design is essential. Other experience in Rail Design, Hydrology Studies and Services design is preferred and would be considered advantageous.

The ideal candidate for this position will also have the following:

  • Be well advanced in applying for or having achieved chartered engineer status, or equivalent.
  • A strong personal commitment to Health and Safety in Civil projects and adherence to HSE procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (essential).
  • Ability to plan, execute, document, and manage projects.
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate the integration of Civil designs with other disciplines.
  • Client interfacing, with the ability to champion the BGER value proposition to business.
  • You will understand and have worked with specialist software such as Microstation, NavisWorks or Open Buildings.
  • Routinely support others with technical development and complex problem solving.
