We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Consultant, Investigations and Safeguarding to lead complex investigations, provide expert safeguarding and compliance advice, and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Child Safety Risk and Compliance, you will play a critical role in strengthening organisational accountability, service quality, and safeguarding practices through expert investigation, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement.
What you will be doing:
- Leading complex investigations and reviews involving incidents, complaints, allegations and safeguarding concerns.
- Providing specialist advice on safeguarding, mandatory reporting, risk and regulatory compliance.
- Identifying trends and systemic issues to strengthen organisational learning and continuous improvement.
- Partnering with leaders, regulators and stakeholders to drive best-practice safeguarding outcomes.
- Building capability across the organisation through expert coaching, guidance and support.
*You will be required to travel regularly across various Berry Street Yooralla sites in Victoria.
About You
You are an experienced investigations, safeguarding, risk or compliance professional with strong judgement, a solutions-focused approach and the ability to navigate complex and sensitive matters. You bring expertise in regulated environments and are committed to driving safe, accountable and high-quality outcomes.
You will bring:
- Experience leading complex investigations, reviews or assessments.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, incident management and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, report writing and decision-making skills.
- The ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, integrity and best practice.
