Berry Street Yooralla is seeking an experienced and strategic finance leader to lead our Budget and Business Partnering function across Disability and Children, Youth and Families.
As the Director – Budget & Business Partnering, you will play a critical role in shaping financial sustainability and organisational performance. You will oversee budgeting, reporting and business partnering, while providing trusted advice to the Board and Executive.
Leading an integrated team, you will bring together best practice across a complex, evolving environment and ensure strong, consistent financial management across the organisation.
You will take ownership of the organisation’s budgeting and reporting functions, ensuring accurate, timely and insightful financial information that supports decision making at all levels. Working closely with the Executive Director Finance & Property, you will contribute to strategic planning and drive initiatives that support a return to a balanced budget.
You will also play a key role in strengthening systems and processes, championing continuous improvement, enhancing reporting capability, and ensuring consistency and efficiency across the organisation.
Key focus areas include:
- Lead Budget and Business Partnering across Shared Corporate Services, Disability and Child, Youth & Families
- Work with the Executive Director, Finance and Property to provide financial insights and advice to Board, Committees and ELT
- Drive savings initiatives and performance improvement
- Champion system and reporting enhancements (e.g. Power BI, Jedox, Dynamics 365)
About You
We are looking for a confident and collaborative finance leader who is comfortable working with the orgainsation's senior leadership and executive. Our ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, balanced with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful insights that influence decision making.
You’ve led teams through complexity and know how to build capability, foster a positive culture, and deliver outcomes in a changing environment.
You will bring:
- A strategic, values-led approach, with experience operating in complex environments
- A proven track record delivering organisation-wide budgeting and reporting
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights
- Experience leading high-performing teams and building positive, accountable cultures
- The ability to influence and build trusted relationships at Executive and Board level
- A strong understanding of financial systems and reporting, with a focus on continuous improvement

Salary
$170K - $190K + super + NFP salary packaging + Additional TIL (salary dependent upon experience)
