  • This position is based between Berry Street's Noble Park office and partnering Agency located in Chadstone on Boon Wurrung Country.
  • Part Time 2 days per week, 12-month fixed term contract role.
  • Base Salary of $110k (pro rata) + Super + Motor Vehicle Allowance

The opportunity

Take Two has teamed up with a like-minded local agency to provide evidence-based, best-practice care to children and young people living in residential care. The Take Two Therapeutic Specialist aims to support a stable, holistic, culturally informed therapeutic response to the young person in order to provide opportunities for healing, growth and development.

As our Take Two, Therapeutic Specialist you will facilitate the change from general residential care practices to a therapeutic approach.

Together we will:

  • Build on our knowledge of trauma theory and how to embed theory in practice.
  • Develop a shared language and understanding of practice approaches to build a therapeutic team.
  • Understand and prepare for reflective practice sessions.
  • Provide psychoeducation to the care staff about the children, including assessment and ITTP feedback sessions, ensuring therapeutic practices are implemented and
