This is a hybrid role working from Berry Street's Noble Park office and Better health network site in South Melbourne, which is due to move to Dandenong in June.

  • Base Salary of $118K pro rata + Superannuation + Salary Packaging up to $15,900 pro rata.

In partnership with Better Health Network and VACCA, Berry Street Take Two is the lead therapeutic team within the new South East Metro Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect centre.

Currently, there are more than 60,000 Victorians providing mental health care support to loved ones, often going unpaid and without professional support.

Your Opportunity 

The South East Metro Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect Centre provides ongoing support to families, carers and supporters of those experiencing mental health and/or substance abuse challenges.

With the new Government funded program, families, carers and supporters are free to access their own support, with no referrals required.

Berry Street are looking for an experienced and dedicated Team Leader to continue to create a warm and welcoming environment for those seeking support.

Having an understanding of the experiences for those supporting someone with mental health or substance abuse challenges, our Clinicians will work alongside the Lived Experience team to provide trauma informed therapeutic support to Carers in a way that best meets their needs.

You will be playing a critical part in shaping and developing the program, having oversight of a clinical team, management of all clinical activities across the program, and contributing to clinical service delivery with your strong therapeutic skills.

We want to right person, so we are offering the role as full-time or part time (0.8 FTE minimum). 

Your skills and experience 

If you have demonstrated abilities in team building and management, with strong leaderships skills that align to Berry Street's core values; Courage, Integrity, Respect, Accountability and Working Together the Clinical Team Leader position offers an exciting opportunity to assist in the ongoing design and implementation of a Victorian first program.

You will have a solution focused approach to the challenges of the new programs with curiosity, kindness and vision for the development of longer-term success.

Drawing on your own knowledge and understanding of Carer's experiences providing carer support and ability to provide a high standard of direct clinical intervention, you will supervise a small team of Senior Clinicians and Clinicians in ensuring a high quality and trauma informed therapeutic services to carers, family members, supporters and kin.
