Berry Street’s Intensive Case Management Services (ICMS) program in Gippsland supports young people aged 12–18 who are engaged with the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH), including Child Protection and Youth Justice.

The Opportunity

  • Morwell Location on Gunaikurnai Country
  • Full time, Permanent role
  • $100k pa (Qualified) + Super & Salary Packaging

As a Case Manager, you will provide intensive, trauma-informed case management to young people experiencing significant vulnerability. You will work closely with young people, their families and support networks to promote safety, stability and positive outcomes, in line with Children’s Court orders and case planning requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing contracted case management for children and young people (generally clients on statutory protective orders) in accordance with Children’s Court directions. 
  • Assisting children, young people and their families to minimise risk and gain stability. 
  • Promoting the maintenance of the child and/or young person with their family, extended family and other support networks. 
  • Developing stakeholder relationships within the community and being an effective advocate.

About You

You are a committed and adaptable practitioner who is passionate about supporting young people and families.

You will bring:

  • Experience in case management and/or outreach support with young people
  • Strong engagement, communication and advocacy skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families, carers and service networks
  • Understanding of the child protection and/or youth justice systems (highly regarded)
  • A relevant Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work or a related field - a Bachelor qualification is preferred.
