We are seeking a Senior Manager, Applications to lead the strategic and operational delivery of our enterprise applications, grounded in experience and a shared commitment to our values. This is a pivotal role within our Strategy, Technology and Analytics portfolio, balancing the stability of critical systems with the delivery of modern, integrated and user‑centred solutions.

Reporting to the Director, IT Operations and Applications, you will ensure business applications are secure, reliable and fit for purpose. You will lead application modernisation and integration initiatives while maintaining the performance and continuity of legacy systems that underpin frontline service delivery.

Working closely with service delivery teams, corporate functions and senior leaders, you will ensure technology enables effective, accountable and inclusive services and supports evidence‑based decision making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

As Senior Manager, Applications, you will:

  • Lead the secure, stable and compliant operation of all enterprise business applications supporting frontline and corporate services.
  • Develop and deliver the Applications and Integration strategy, balancing legacy system stability with modernisation, cloud and SaaS uplift.
  • Build, lead and develop a high‑performing, inclusive applications and integration team focused on continuous improvement.
  • Partner with service delivery, corporate and executive stakeholders to deliver user‑centred, fit‑for‑purpose application solutions.
  • Establish strong application governance and oversee risk, privacy, security, vendor and budget management.

About you

You lead collaboratively, communicate clearly and build trusted relationships with teams, vendors and senior stakeholders. You are values‑driven and motivated by using technology to enable frontline services and positive community outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience leading enterprise applications in complex or multi‑site environments
  • Success managing legacy systems alongside cloud‑based and SaaS platforms
  • Strong understanding of system integration, data flows and APIs
  • Experience leading teams and vendors through technological change
  • Well‑developed stakeholder engagement, vendor and budget management skills
  • A relevant Bachelor qualification in IT, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading application teams and/or vendors
