The Opportunity

As the Senior Internal Consultant Investigations, you will sit within the Child Safeguarding Unit and play a key role in the implementation of the DFFH Client Incident Management System Policy that requires CSO's to review or Investigate all major impact incidents, with a particular focus on undertaking DFFH CIMS investigations where allegations are made by young people. This role involves complex and high-risk investigations and working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders across the organisation to contribute to ensuring Child Safety at Berry Street.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in undertaking complex investigations including interviewing alleged victims and witnesses (particularly focused on vulnerable individuals).
  • Knowledge and practical application of legislation and procedures, including details of the DFFH incident management policy and Investigation framework.
  • Relevant qualification in legal studies, investigations or equivalent field of studies.
  • A social work degree or similar welfare or behaviour related qualification
  • WWCC and Drivers license
