Berry Street Yooralla is seeking a visionary Executive Director, Quality, Practice and Safeguarding to shape how we deliver safe, high-quality services across a complex and evolving social services system. This is a rare opportunity to join our Executive Leadership Team and influence strategy, governance, and culture to ensure the safety and human rights of children, adults, victim-survivors of family violence, and people with disability.

As Executive Director, you will:
- Partner with the CEO and Board to embed quality, safeguarding, and risk into organisational strategy and transformation programs.
- Chair the Quality Governance Committee and lead system-wide governance for compliance and assurance.
- Build strong relationships with regulators, sector advocates, and stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement through evidence-based practice, research partnerships, and organisational learning.
- Champion cultural safety, equity, and inclusion, ensuring lived experience informs decision-making.
- Provide strategic leadership to expert teams, fostering collaboration, wellbeing, and capability development.
About You
You’re a proven executive leader with deep expertise in quality, safeguarding, and risk across complex service systems. With a strategic mindset you engage confidently at board level and build strong relationships with regulators and stakeholders.
You lead organisational learning and change while championing cultural safety, inclusion, and human rights—creating fair, equitable, and safe environments where every improvement and compliance framework reflects the diverse needs of the communities we serve.
You will bring:
- Proven expertise in regulatory compliance and safeguarding standards.
- Deep commitment to cultural safety, diversity, and inclusive practice.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (postgraduate desirable).
- Comprehensive knowledge of Victorian community services and disability sector standards, including best practice and compliance requirements.
