  • Base rate $110k, + Superannuation + Salary Packaging available (pro rata)
  • Motor Vehicle Allowance of $10,500 (pro rata)

What is Take Two?

Take Two is a state-wide service providing high quality therapeutic services to children and young people who have suffered significant abuse, neglect or disrupted attachment and are clients of Child Protection. Working within the Bruce Perry’s Neurosequential model of therapy, we work with the traumatised child, and with their caregivers, families and communities. We help them understand the child’s trauma, and how it’s impacting their development and behaviours.

We provide mental health services for babies, children and young people aged 0 to 17 years old, regardless of which agency is providing their out-of-home care and where they live.

What Your New Role Looks Like!

Take Two has many programs providing individual, dyadic and systemic client facing services.

In this role you will be expected to;

  • Provide leadership in the team and support the clinical team leader, including building and maintaining important partnerships and supporting the team to meet key performance indicators.
  • Provide clinical supervision to clinicians and students as required.
  • Facilitate referrals into the fee-for-service program by providing intake consultations and quoting for services 
  • Carry a case load; the numbers of cases are dependent on the number of staff the senior clinician supervises.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of training requests from external agencies.
  • Conduct assessments and develop therapeutic treatment plans, with clear goals that are reviewed regularly.
  • Work in a systemic and collaborative manner with the client, their family and the care team to achieve the goals within the specified time frame.
  • Provide face-to-face clinical services across metropolitan Melbourne and Bayside Pensiula.
  • Provide nation-wide clinical services via telehealth

About You

We are looking for a values-based Senior clinician who understands the needs of children, young people and families in this sector.

You will be able to demonstrate your work with a diverse range of clients, and how you have been creative and flexible in your clinical approach. You will have proven assessment, treatment and report writing skills, and will also want to further develop your clinical knowledge.

An appropriate Bachelor level degree or higher is required to be successful in this position.

Preferably you will also hold a post graduate degree, experience in secondary consultation and supervising staff.
