The Opportunity

• Mount Helen location, on Wadawurrung Country
• Full-time, Fixed term role until June 2027 (due to funding)
• Salary $105k pa + Super and Salary Packaging

The Multi-Agency Support Team (MAST) is an early intervention program supporting young people aged 10–17 who are at risk of becoming involved in the Youth Justice system across Ballarat, Moorabool and Ararat.

As a Case Manager, you will work alongside the Senior MAST Coordinator, young people, families and partner agencies to coordinate practical, individualised support. You will contribute to Action and Support Plans, strengthen protective factors and connect young people with education, family and community-based services.

Working collaboratively with police, education, family services and other community partners, you will provide youth-focused, trama-informed and culturally safe case management, particularly where gaps in service coordination exist.

This is a meaningful opportunity to work within a collaborative early intervention program and support young people and their families to build stronger connections, reduce risk and create positive pathways forward.

About You

You are a collaborative and resilient practitioner with experience supporting young people and families with complex needs. You can build strong relationships, manage competing priorities and work confidently across multiple services and stakeholders.

You will bring:

• Experience in case management with young people and families.
• Strong communication, advocacy and stakeholder engagement skills.
• An understanding of risk and protective factors associated with youth offending.
• Experience supporting young people and families from diverse backgrounds and/or with complex needs.
• A Diploma-level qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare, Justice or a related discipline.
• A current driver’s licence and valid Working with Children Check
