The Berry Street Yooralla Quality and Risk team holds a large portfolio that spans across the whole organisation. The Quality and Risk portfolio supports the delivery of safe, effective quality services at Berry Street Yooralla. This includes systems that govern quality, audit compliance and risk.

  • Hybrid of WFH and office in Richmond & CBD, Wurundjeri Country
  • Part time, Fixed term (parental leave cover)
  • 2 days a week until Feb 2026, increasing to 3 days a week from March to 4 Oct 2026
  • Base $88K pro rata + super and salary packaging

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Quality and Risk Officer to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to ensure our organisation maintains high standards of compliance, governance, and quality assurance. You’ll assist with policy development, manage key registers and databases, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and review of organisational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update registers and databases, including complaints, volunteer compliance, and contracts.
  • Assist with compliance monitoring, audits, and reporting obligations.
  • Contribute to quality improvement projects across the organisation.

About You

We are looking for someone with a background in administrative or quality support roles within community services, disability, or related sectors. You will bring strong organisational and time management skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

  • Understanding of compliance frameworks, risk management, and quality assurance processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and human rights principles.
  • Knowledge of Victorian community services standards, NDIS Quality and Safeguards, and relevant legislation (Equal Opportunity Act, Privacy Act).
