The Opportunity
Berry Street is seeking a Student Engagement Case Manager – Navigator Program to support young people aged 12–17 who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from education.
Working alongside schools, families, the Department of Education and community services, you will support young people with complex needs to re-engage in education and training pathways. The role focuses on building strong relationships, coordinating supports and developing tailored re-engagement plans to improve long-term outcomes.
- Full-time, Fixed Term 12 month contract role

- Base Salary $100k pa + Super & Salary Packaging (pro rata)
About the Role
We are seeking a Student Engagement Case Manager to provide outreach-based case management to young people who are disengaged from education.
Working closely with schools, families and service providers, you will support young people experiencing complex challenges to reconnect with education and build pathways for their future.
Key responsibilities include coordinating re-engagement plans, strengthening partnerships with key stakeholders, facilitating collaborative support and maintaining accurate reporting and documentation to support outcomes.
About You
You are passionate about supporting young people to re-engage with education and achieve positive life outcomes.
You bring:
- Experience in case management, outreach or youth support roles
- Demonstrated ability to engage young people with complex needs and barriers to education
- Understanding of trauma, disengagement and the impact of systemic disadvantage
- Strong stakeholder engagement and advocacy skills
- Ability to build partnerships with schools, services and community organisations
- Strong communication and case documentation skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
You will also hold a Bachelor qualification in Social Work, Youth Work, Education, Community Development or a related field.
