The Opportunity
The Alcohol & Other Drug (AOD) Youth Consultant position, embedded in the SECMS team, is designed to provide treatment and support to young people presenting with AOD issues.
Through a model of treatment, secondary consultation, collaborative case planning and capacity building, the role will enhance case management and placement support services for young people with substance use issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialised assessment, counselling, and outreach.
- Participate in care team and case planning.
- Identify additional needs and facilitate access to services.
- Offer expertise to professionals working with young people (12 to 17 years old).
Role Requirements
A Bachelor-level qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare, or a related discipline and a minimum of three years’ experience providing treatment to young people with AOD issues.
Familiarity with DFFHS funded Alcohol and Drug Treatment programs and reporting requirements
