 About Connect Centre

In partnership with Better Health Network and VACCA, Berry Street Take Two is the lead therapeutic team within the Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect Centre South East Metro. Currently, there are more than 60,000 Victorians providing mental health care support to loved ones, often going unpaid and without professional support.

  • Dandenong location, Boonwurrung country
  • Part time (0.6FTE), Fixed term (until 30/08/2026)
  • $103K p/a (pro rata) plus superannuation and salary packaging

Your Opportunity 

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect Centre South East Metro provides support to families, carers, kin and supporters of those experiencing mental ill health and/or substance abuse challenges.

The Connect Centre offers family members, kin, carers and supporters free services with access to their own support, with no referrals required.

As a Clinician you will have an understanding and appreciation for those supporting someone with mental ill health and/or substance abuse challenges. The role will provide supportive therapeutic interventions and work in collaboration with the Lived and Living Experience Team and VACCA Cultural Team to provide wholistic support and service delivery.

These roles will require evening and Saturday work on a rotating roster across the team in the near future.

 Your skills and experience 

If you have demonstrated abilities in clinical assessment and intervention and a work ethic that aligns to Berry Street's core values; Courage, Integrity, Respect, Accountability and Working Together, the Clinician position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a new and unique program.

You will have a solution focused approach and a desire to champion the voice of carers, family members supporters and kin of those with mental ill health and/or substance use challenges and colleagues with Lived and Lived Experience within the Program.

Drawing on your own knowledge and understanding of Carer's experiences providing carer support for people with mental illness and/or substance misuse, you will support carers through ongoing challenges and commonalities they face and help guide them on how to support their community effectively.
