Transport Officer - Bene Vita

Bene Aged Care is seeking compassionate and reliable Transport Officer to join our Community Services team on a casual basis across metropolitan Adelaide.

About the Role

As a Transport Officer, you will provide safe, reliable and respectful transport support to community clients while promoting independence, wellbeing and social inclusion.

You will work closely with clients, families and the Community Services team to ensure high-quality service delivery and client safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport clients to appointments, centre-based activities and social outings
• Support clients to maintain independence and minimise social isolation
• Follow client support plans and organisational procedures
• Conduct home safety observations and report any concerns
• Maintain accurate documentation and incident reporting
• Liaise with coordinators regarding client updates and service changes
• Complete vehicle safety inspections and maintain clean vehicles
• Adhere to road safety requirements and safe driving practices
• Provide professional and respectful customer service at all times

About You

You are caring, dependable and enjoy working with older people in the community. You have strong communication skills, a professional approach and the ability to work independently.

Essential:

• Current driver’s licence
• Access to a reliable, registered and insured vehicle
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Current National Police Check
• Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
• Ability to use mobile phones and basic technology systems
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Desirable:

• Previous experience in aged care or community services
• Previous experience transporting clients or consumers
• Knowledge of the local metropolitan area
• Italian language skills highly regarded
