Driver - Mini Bus (8-10 Seater)

About the Role

Bene Aged Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable Driver - Mini Bus (8-10 Seater) to join our Community Services team on a casual basis across metropolitan Adelaide.

This rewarding role supports older people to maintain their independence and social connections by providing safe and reliable transport to appointments, centre-based activities and community outings.

You will be responsible for operating a Bene mini bus, ensuring passengers are transported safely, comfortably and respectfully while delivering exceptional customer service.

Roster: Monday to Friday, 21.5 hours per week. Morning transport runs from 8:30am to 10:30am (Monday & Friday) and 8:30am to 11:00am (Tuesday to Thursday), with afternoon transport runs from 2:00pm to 4:00pm each weekday.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate an 8–10 seater minibus across metropolitan Adelaide
• Transport clients to appointments, centre-based activities and social outings
• Assist clients to safely enter and exit the vehicle where required
• Support older people to maintain independence and social connections
• Complete vehicle safety checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Follow client support plans and organisational procedures
• Maintain accurate records and incident reporting documentation
• Liaise with coordinators regarding transport schedules and client requirements
• Adhere to all road safety requirements and safe driving practices
• Deliver professional, respectful and customer-focused service at all times

About You

You are caring, dependable and enjoy working with older people. You have excellent driving skills, a professional approach and strong customer service abilities.

Essential

• Current unrestricted South Australian Driver's Licence
• Demonstrated safe driving record
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Current National Police Check
• Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to operate mobile phones and basic technology systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety

Desirable

• Previous experience driving a mini bus or passenger vehicle
• Previous experience in aged care, community services or disability services
• Experience transporting clients or consumers
• Good knowledge of metropolitan Adelaide roads and suburbs
• Italian language skills highly regarded
