Bene Aged Care is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Night Registered Nurse to join our Specialised Dementia Unit at the St Agnes Residential Facility on a part-time basis.

About Your Role

As a Night Registered Nurse in our Specialised Dementia Unit, you will play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality clinical care while supporting residents’ dignity, comfort, and emotional wellbeing overnight.

In this role, you will:

• Deliver person-centred, evidence-based nursing care for residents living with dementia
• Monitor residents’ health and respond promptly to clinical and behavioural needs overnight
• Administer medications, manage wound care, and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Provide leadership and clinical oversight to care staff on shift
• Support and mentor Care Workers to ensure best practice dementia care
• Maintain a calm, safe, and therapeutic environment during night hours
• Respond to behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) using best-practice approaches
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and external health professionals
• Collaborate with the broader clinical team to support holistic care planning

What You’ll Bring

Essential

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Previous experience in aged care, dementia care, or a similar clinical setting
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and leadership skills
• Understanding of person-centred dementia care and behaviour support approaches
• Ability to work independently and confidently during night duty
• Current National Police Check, First Aid, and Manual Handling certificates

Desirable

• Experience working in a specialised dementia or memory support unit
• Post-graduate qualifications or training in dementia care
