Benalla Health is seeking an experienced and passionate Lymphoedema Practitioner to join our Allied Health team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialist lymphoedema assessment, treatment and education services, supporting consumers across both cancer-related and chronic lymphoedema care pathways.

Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will play a key role in the prevention, early identification and management of lymphoedema, helping consumers achieve improved health outcomes and quality of life.

About the Role

As the Lymphoedema Practitioner, you will deliver evidence-based clinical care to consumers at risk of, or experiencing, primary and secondary lymphoedema. You will manage an independent caseload, provide clinical leadership and supervision, and collaborate closely with internal and external health professionals to ensure coordinated, consumer-centred care.

This role requires a high level of clinical expertise, professional autonomy, and a commitment to ongoing professional development and best practice.

This role includes:

• Assessment and interventions related to Lymphoedema management in the community.
• Engage in collaborative care planning with the consumer and other health professionals, including facilitate relevant referrals to other disciplines, services and organisations in a timely manner
• Provide clinical support and supervision to allied health assistants and students as required, in line with Benalla Health guidelines.
• Maintain registration as a provider of the State Wide Equipment Program as appropriate per discipline.
• Collaboratively work with other health professionals and consumers / carers to identify and achieve consumer and/or family centred goals.
• Attend case review / family meetings and ensure effective communication and dissemination of information
• Ensure all documentation is completed to a high standard in a timely manner, in accordance with Benalla Health policies

Key Selection Criteria:

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant health care profession (Nursing or Allied Health) and registration with AHPRA with no restrictions to practice. For professions where AHPRA registration is not available, demonstration of meeting the eligibility requirements for registration.
• Completion of a recognised Lymphoedema training course under the Accredited Lymphoedema Practitioner Program and Current ALA Accredited Lymphoedema Practitioner or eligible to become an ALA Accredited Lymphoedema Practitioner.
• Advanced knowledge and skills and clinical experience in assessment and management of lymphoedema of the upper and lower limb +/- other regions.
• Able to manage a complex caseload, using a consumer-centred approach.
• Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient organisational & time management skills, including ability to deal effectively with competing demands.
• State Wide Equipment Program (SWEP) registered prescriber for appropriate discipline
