The Opportunity

The team at Benalla Health are seeking a skilled and reliable Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative Unit

As a Registered Nurse within Peri-Operative Services, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care across:

• Operating Theatre
• Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU)
• Day Procedure Unit

You may work in a variety of peri-operative nursing roles including:

• Anaesthetic Nurse
• Instrument Nurse
• Circulating Nurse
• PACU Nurse

Working alongside surgeons, GP anaesthetists and multidisciplinary team members, you will contribute to outstanding patient outcomes, safe surgical care and efficient theatre operations.

The role will entail:

• Delivering high-quality nursing care and supporting safe patient outcomes across a variety of surgical specialties
• Working across anaesthetic, instrumentation (scrub), circulating (scout), and PACU nursing roles as required
• Coordinating specialised aspects of patient care on a daily basis within the perioperative environment
• Providing patient education and counselling relevant to procedures and specialties
• Supporting multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure efficient and effective patient care
• Acting as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their rights, needs and preferences are respected

The successful applicant (upon appointment) will undergo a National Police Records Check and Working with Children's Check for pre-employment safety screening purposes.

The Successful applicant must have 12 months relevant experience as well as current registration or ability to obtain.
