The Opportunity
The team at Benalla Health are seeking a skilled and reliable Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative Unit (permanent position – up to 2 x 76‑hour contracts available).
A casual position may also be considered.

In this role, you will provide high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to patients undergoing a diverse range of procedures, including general surgery, endoscopy, ophthalmic surgery, urology, gynaecology, dental and maxillofacial procedures. You will work across multiple perioperative roles, including anaesthetics, instrument (scrub), circulating (scout), and Post‑Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU), contributing to safe and effective care across the full patient journey.
The role will entail:
- Delivering high quality nursing care and supporting safe patient outcomes across a variety of surgical specialties
- Working across anaesthetic, instrumentation (scrub), circulating (scout), and PACU nursing roles as required
- Coordinating specialised aspects of patient care on a daily basis within the perioperative environment
- Providing patient education and counselling relevant to procedures and specialties
- Supporting multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure efficient and effective patient care
- Acting as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their rights, needs and preferences are respected
482 Visa Sponsorship available (2 years), noting applicants must hold current AHPRA registration.
