The Opportunity

The team at Benalla Health are seeking a skilled, adaptable and reliable Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative & Day Procedure Services team.

This position is a 12‑month fixed‑term parental leave cover (July 2026 – July 2027).

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide safe, person‑centred and evidence‑based nursing care across multiple clinical areas, including the Day Procedure Unit (DPU), Pre‑Admission Clinic, and Post‑Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU), working flexibly based on service needs.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high‑quality nursing care across the patient journey, from pre‑admission assessment through to post‑procedure recovery
  • Supporting efficient patient flow and positive clinical outcomes within the Day Procedure Unit
  • Conducting thorough pre‑admission assessments and patient education in the Pre‑Admission Clinic
  • Providing safe and effective monitoring and recovery care for patients in PACU

This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and values delivering coordinated, patient‑centred care across multiple perioperative settings.
