Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is motivated and has and keen eye for building standards. You will find yourself driving around the Adelaide metropolitan area to visit our community housing properties to conduct property inspections, test smoke alarms, RCDs and tempering valves. This position will be a crucial part of our planned maintenance scheduling allowing our tenants to have the best possible housing experience.

You will have a professional and positive edge, know your way around an Excel spreadsheet, and other computer applications. You will be in charge of your own day by working autonomously conducting property visits with customers.

What can you expect to be doing?

  • Inspect and analyse Believe Housing properties to provide data for maintenance as well as ensure smoke alarm and RCD compliance.
  • Problem solve any maintenance issues
  • You will be required to travel across metropolitan Adelaide to various sites (may include minimal country travel)
  • Conduct property inspections – assessing the lifetime of critical components within the property.

What do you need to bring?

  • Highly confident and organised for scheduling customer engagement to visit properties
  • Relevant building or construction qualifications
  • Exceptional customer service skills and an ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Previous experience in property inspection or the building field will be highly regarded
  • Hold a Test and Tag ticket or be willing to obtain
  • If you are energetic, willing to learn & motivated we want to hear from you - the rest can be trained!
