What you’ll do
As a Casual Tenancy Officer, you’ll step in to support our permanent team across various portfolios - providing high-quality tenancy and property services that support our tenants to sustain their tenancies and remain connected and engaged.
You’ll work on an as-needed basis (usually to cover planned leave on a full-time basis for 1 or more weeks), responding to demand across different areas.
Your work will contribute to safe, secure housing and successful tenancy outcomes.
This role is perfect for someone with a background in property management or community housing now seeking casual ad-hoc work with a social impact.
You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:
- Stepping in to deliver tenancy and property management services when permanent staff are unavailable
- Conducting inspections and coordinating necessary follow-up to maintain property standards
- Building rapport with tenants and identifying those needing additional support
- Assisting with lease sign-ups, renewals and sustaining tenancies
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery across teams
What you’ll bring
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in property management, community housing, or related field
- Understanding of tenancy legislation and property maintenance standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build quick rapport with tenants
- Flexibility and availability to work on a casual, ad-hoc basis
We would also love you to have:
- Experience supporting vulnerable individuals or working in social housing
- Confidence navigating systems, inspections and tenancy documentation
- A positive, team-oriented approach and strong communication skills
