As Senior Manager, Assets and Maintenance, you'll lead a dedicated team in managing vacant properties and maintenance programs, driving performance, fostering a collaborative and customer-focused culture and implementing strategic initiatives.
You'll be an experienced and inspiring senior leader with a genuine commitment to community service and a talent for strategic thinking and relationship building.
Your ability to nurture and develop a cohesive team will be key, as will your experience in overseeing property and maintenance operations and providing financial oversight.

What can you expect to be doing?
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing, collaborative team by promoting open communication, continuous learning, recognition and clear goal setting.
- Provide strategic guidance, coaching and feedback to team members, ensuring they have the resources and support needed for development and to deliver high-quality service outcomes.
- Create a resident-focused, inclusive and positive environment where customer outcomes drive all decisions and actions.
Operational Management
- Oversee Believe Housing Australia’s vacant property management, responsive and planned maintenance programs, mobile maintenance team and asset functions.
- Prepare, monitor and manage budgets and support general financial operations.
- Implement and maintain systems, procedures, and processes that meet funding, contract, accreditation and legislative requirements.
Service Innovation
- Identify and implement new ideas, strategies and service models that align with growth and quality objectives, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to long-term asset management planning, including lifecycle costing, sustainability initiatives and capital works programmes.
What do you need to bring?
- Tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated strong leadership and team development skills, with experience in creating positive work environments and managing performance.
- Background in high-level administrative support within property management or community/social housing.
- Proficient in financial management systems, MS software, and budget preparation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with experience working with CALD communities.
