About the Role:
- Maintain the outdoor and indoor areas of Beechworth Health Service in a clean and safe manner.
- Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work environment
- Work effectively within a team environment
- Effectively and efficiently assist with day to day duties involved in clean accommodation within services areas, laundry and external environment (some manual handling)
About You:
- Demonstrated experience in ability to plan, organise and prioritise work, in an environment with multiple and conflicting demands.
- Knowledge of legislation relevant to the position (e.g. Essential Services, Occupational Health and Safety, Hazardous Substances etc.)
- Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to interact effectively with older people and people of diverse cultures.
- Initiative and the ability to work without direct supervision.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the role.
- Basic computer skills (Office Word & Excel).
- Current drivers’ licence (Essential).
Desirable
- Previous cleaning/handyperson experience.
- Experience working in a health, retirement living, aged care or Not-For-Profit environment.
