The position works across BHS's core transactional and administrative finance functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll Administration, Residential Aged Care financial administration, reconciliations and other finance activities as allocated.

Selection Criteria:

  • Previous experience in one or more transactional or administrative finance functions, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll administration, revenue, resident finance or a related financial administration role.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet required deadlines.
  • A proactive approach and demonstrated willingness and capacity to learn and develop competency across multiple finance functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive financial, employee and resident information.
  • Experience using finance, payroll or related administrative systems, with demonstrated ability to learn new systems and software.
  • Understanding of the importance of financial controls, delegated authority, reconciliation and segregation of duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify discrepancies, investigate issues and escalate matters appropriately.

Desirable:

  • Achieved or working towards a qualification in accounting, finance, business or a related field.
  • Experience within a rural or regional health service or other public sector environment.
  • Experience in Residential Aged Care financial administration.
  • Experience with relevant finance, payroll, aged care or resident management systems. BHS currently ustilises ORACLE for Finance and PayGlobal for payroll)
